Quilotoa Lagoon Viewpoint
The Quilotoa Lagoon Viewpoint is the most popular and accessible spot for viewing the Quilotoa Volcano. It's located just a few meters from the main entrance.

The main viewpoint of Quilotoa is the best option for a day trip with children, seniors and disabled people.
Shalala Viewpoint
The Shalalá Lookout is a privileged tourist area in Quilotoa, which, due to its location on the edge of the crater and the architectural design in wood and glass of its building, allows contemplating an incredible panoramic view of the lagoon and the caldera.

The Shalala Viewpoint can be accessed by walking along a marked trail or by road in a car.
Juyende Viewpoint
Juyende is the highest peak in the Quilotoa crater, where a natural viewpoint has formed, impressive for its unique position and the sensations it evokes in every visitor. The Juyende lookout can be reached by walking along a path from the entrance of Quilotoa.

- No reservation is required.
A guide is not mandatory to climb Juyende Peak, although it is recommended to have a Map-App or GPS route.
Macacunga Viewpoint
The Macacunga Lookout is located on a small plateau offering a 360-degree view of the entire Quilotoa volcano. Macacunga is the entrance/exit point to the Quilotoa volcano from (or to) the path of Chugchilan.

- No reservation is required.
Dust and strong winds are commons in Macacunga area; caution is advised. A Map-App or GPS is suggested.
Quilotoa Natural Viewpoints
Due to its unique geography, Quilotoa has several natural observation sites scattered along the trail to the Quilotoa lagoon and on the path that borders the entire crater of the Quilotoa volcano caldera.
