Camping Quilotoa Beach
The main camping area in Quilotoa is located in the zone of the Quilotoa Beach (known in spanish as "La Playita Quilotoa"). To reach this campsite, located on a side of the lagoon shore, you have to follow the path to the Quilotoa Beach (La Playita Quilotoa).
Camping at Quilotoa Beach requires registration at the Jataló - Quilotoa rangers cabin site upon entry. No permission or reservation is required (availability subject to capacity). Camping at Quilotoa Beach is free.
Nights at Quilotoa are cold and windy, regardless of the time of year. Remember not to start fires or bonfires, and that the lagoon water is not safe for drinking. Do not enter the lagoon.

Camping Shalala - Quilotoa
In the Quilotoa Volcano, there is also the option of camping in the Shalalá area. To reach the Shalala campsite, you can hike the "Shalalá-Quilotoa" trail or drive the road and detours off the Zumbahua-Quilotoa.
Camping at the Shalala requires registration upon entry and pay a fee through the community members who manage the area. Reservations are not required, but space availability is subject to capacity. The Shalala Community Center has restrooms, cabin lodging (extra pay), parking, and occasional food and craft stalls.
The Shalalá sector is surrounded by a forest, with access to the Crystal Viewpoint and the summit trail.
