By any bicycle or gravel bike, you can reach the Quilotoa by following the Pan-American Highway South to the turnoffs for the road to Sigchos (local road) or the E30 Zumbahua (county highways) to head toward Quilotoa.
On mountain biking routes for MTB or Downhill, there are some natural paths near the Quilotoa crater that can be ride, generally with the support of local specialized travel cycling agencies (some permissions may be required).
Cycle touring and Bikepacking routes to the Quilotoa there is the adventurous and challenging Trans-Ecuador.
Visiting Quilotoa by bicycle means riding paved, gravel, cobblestone roads and exteme hills, as well as technical sections where pedaling isn't possible and you'll have to push or carry the bike; along with potholes, wind, and animals (dogs, cows and horses) along the way.
